In Western culture we are often closing our hands to grip things while being in crouched sitting positions.
This causes us to get tight throughout our body and limits our shoulder mobility among other things.
For those on computer tasks all day or for others like BJJ players where grips are a big focus you are constantly closing your hand.
This closing is flexion and in order to actually improve our BJJ grips and for the every day person to have healthier arm function you must be able to EXTEND your hand properly.
This exercise I share today helps open your shoulders by targeting rotation of the shoulder joint while adding in neck rotation.
The weight cues extension, which will ultimately make your grips stronger too!
