This mobility exercise is tremendous at helping people with painful shoulders.
This helps to stabilize the joint and "round out the edges" if you are either too tight, have too much mass, or if you have injuries like rotator cuff issues.
For those with BJJ shoulder pain, this is especially good at stabilizing the joint while increasing range of motion, which will help protect again compressed shoulders.
Since jiu jitsu is a compression based sport this is common, so this exercise should be a staple in everyone's warmup and cool down protocol!
